July 5th:
On Saturday Maika and I headed out one of Taiwan's famous "cat cafes". Maika and I both adore animals, and felines are among the top of the list. I have 2 cats at home and miss the animal affection, so I felt this was a necessity for my stay in Taipei. Here are a bunch of pictures/video:
Cat in the back on the table. It ended up being a fun one to mess with. There was even a shaved golden retriever that didn't quite seem in the best health, but was happy to be fed by the guests.
Then there was this little kitten.
Eating his little kibbles of cat food.
Look at those kitten eyes.
This one was adorable too. It kept playfully pouncing on my hands.
After the cat cafe, we took a nap that may have been a tad longer than it should have been. We woke up in the evening and decided to visit Taipei 101 and Taipei City Hall for dinner. Some pics:
Stepping out of the subway station and looking up at Taipei 101 was pretty nuts. It is half a kilometer tall.
Some bomb noodles for dinner.
Extravagant mall at the foot of Taipei 101 with basically every expensive brand store you could name.. eh..
After dinner, we headed back to the room to get ready to hit Club Myst with Maika's friends. Her friend Fiona had connections to a bunch of clubs in Taipei apparently. We got to skip the lines, got a table, and all the drinks we wanted. The club was pretty epic. Even the bathrooms were super nice.
The view from the urinals.. Probably not legal to take a picture like this. Good thing I didn't use flash.
I danced, talked and drank with Maika and her friends for a couple hours before we called it quits. It was certainly a wild, unforgettable night.. Another wonderful day in Taipei.
